Kinect 2 may shock you

If the rumors are to be believed, the power of the second generation of Kinect will leave us with jaws open wide, and the Kinect can detect! Because according to this report, the peripheral device will have enough power to read lips, knowing when players are angryand even determine which direction they are facing or how they are watching.

So that certain games may force us to shows to look as pathetic as gladiator fight or give true rock star attitude to the guitar.

But the rumors do not end here. It is assumed that the crown jewel of Microsoft detects voice pitch and volume of the player, even the user’s facial features in order to pass all these parameters and better measure emotions.

It is clear that new technologies are advancing on a path of no return: to understand the “metadata” that humans provide. The great challenges of the future and are locked in that most companies will capture the natural speech of the people (there are good essays), gestures and the development of sensors that even the facial expression associated with the movement.

The current Kinect, with the launch of Avatar Kinect, detects certain movements of the mouth and eyes. It was rumored even that new generations of this device would recognize the movement of the fingers. But any breakthrough of this device will have a clear limitation, which is the USB connection, as the flow of data that will be sent to the XBox is much greater. Eurogamer in that sense, ventured that the new generation of games this season, expected in late 2012, could bring the Kinect built on the same console. All in one.

What is expected

It is expected to do even with improvements over the current potential of the XBox. The ability of recognition will be corrected and improved. It will reduce the distance by which this device detects the users, only 50 centimeters away, which is a major advance (keep in mind that, to play with this current motion control, you must be stopped a minimum distance of 1.8 meters for solo play and up to 2.4 meters in two-player titles).
